1970's
- Ladybird She was bought by a lady who wanted to cheer up her two sons' as their father had just died. She thought they'd all have fun with the ponies as Ladybird had a foal at foot and was in foal again. Ladybird safely went on to have another three foals and her five foals were called: Butterfly, Oak Apple, Dominic and Fantasy Star (full sister) and finally Miss Ellie in 1980. She always had easy births and chose to foal during thunderstorms. Sadly she died and I didn't get to meet her. |
1980
- Miss Ellie She had a very good start in life then a few years I don't know about. I got her as a five year old and she looked three. Within a year the pony I'd only wanted to' love and look after and hack down the lanes with' came out at the Manley Show in Cheshire. We were both novices and looked it! Then started the lessons, the schooling and the quest for improvement. We competed at most Cheshire and North Wales County and village shows and were members of various riding clubs and affiliated to British Dressage. |
1993
- Ellie's Echo Ellie is by a Lipizzaner stallion called Neapolitano Fantasia from The Spanish Riding School in Vienna so she is very special. If her Mum had attitude then I'm not quite sure what it is that Ellie has? She has very definate ideas about things. She is challenging to compete but can show moments of magic. She had a maternity break in 2007 to have Ellie Ever After and is now back into full work at 16 years old. |
